Required skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer or a related role.
- Strong understanding of network security, firewall management, and intrusion detection systems.
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, antivirus software, and encryption methods.
- Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automating security tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to quickly assess complex security threats, identify vulnerabilities, and implement effective solutions to protect the organization’s IT infrastructure from future risks.
