The team sought to streamline routine car care tasks for drivers who rely on clean interiors to earn a daily income. Their goal required a practical model that supported both one-time requests and recurring appointments, backed by trusted cleaners who were verified through a strict onboarding process.

The founders encountered a significant technical obstacle as they moved from concept to implementation. They needed a development partner capable of designing a cross-platform system built on React Native and implementing geolocation features to match drivers with nearby cleaners in real time. Stripe payment integration had to work seamlessly within this framework.

DevsData LLC joined the project with a defined scope of services. Work began with product discovery workshops with the founders, which set the direction for the system architecture, centered on a React Native client and a Firebase backend. From there, the team moved into API development and Stripe payment integration, followed by geolocation features on Google Cloud. QA testing covered both iOS and Android before release management carried the product through a controlled rollout.

            <picture class="open-picture" style="filter: grayscale(0)">

            </picture>

Project scope and objectives

The founders approached DevsData LLC without a written specification. The first phase focused on business analysis before any product structure took shape. Requirements elicitation sessions with the founding team surfaced the drivers‘ expectations for a booking view. The same sessions clarified what cleaners needed in order to accept work on their own. Administrator needs were captured in a follow-up round of interviews that fed directly into the documented scope.

This vision required defined account-creation flows that verified identities through government ID scans and selfie matching before allowing users into the system, and then guided each role through navigation paths tailored to their specific needs. The mandate required clarity on how each user type would navigate the platform from their first login through completion of their intended tasks.

Work began with building the mobile app for drivers to schedule cleaning services, then continued with a dedicated version for cleaners to fulfill those requests. An admin panel rounded out the platform, giving the startup a tool to review sign-ups and manage activity across the entire system.

The cleaner app needed to display available jobs within a specific radius of their location, then allow them to submit validated photos after completing each assignment, before receiving weekly automated payouts that kept compensation predictable.

The driver app required scheduling options powered by cloud infrastructure. Platforms like this typically use database services to store appointments, serverless functions for notifications, and secure authentication for user sessions, while Stripe handles payments. The admin panel had to integrate identity verification with payout oversight, allowing administrators to manage both responsibilities from a single, central location.

“Account flows had to follow real habits, not a perfect diagram, so drivers and cleaners moved from booking to payout without friction.” – N. Hrisafovic, DevsData LLC

The primary objective was to deliver a dependable workflow that would provide the startup with clear visibility into the number of cleaners actively working, the booking volume at any given time, and which verification checks remained pending. Each step needed to remain predictable for both sides of the service, so drivers knew what to expect when booking, while cleaners understood precisely how to fulfill requests.

Another priority was implementing accurate geolocation to prevent missed visits by ensuring cleaners arrived at the correct locations, and to protect the system from fraudulent behavior that could undermine trust.

The client also expected consistent performance across iOS, Android, and desktop, since this platform would serve as the operational base for scaling the service during its early growth phase, when reliability would determine whether the business model proved viable.

Challenges and constraints

The project introduced demanding conditions for a young Silicon Valley service that couldn’t afford early stumbles. Identity checks had to work flawlessly to build trust between strangers meeting through the app, while location tracking needed equal precision to ensure cleaners arrived at the correct vehicles.

Payment reliability was another critical pillar, as drivers wouldn’t tolerate failed transactions, and cleaners expected consistent weekly compensation. The platform’s value depended on accurate coordination between drivers requesting service and cleaners fulfilling those requests, which meant any gap could undermine the business model.

These expectations shaped the technical scope and called for structured solutions that kept every action traceable. The table below outlines the main constraints and how DevsData LLC addressed each challenge.

Challenge

The DevsData Solution

Cleaner verification flow

DevsData LLC built a strict identity-review path inside the admin area, allowing the client to approve documents and block unverified accounts before they reached the task list.

Location-based task accuracy

Engineers added geolocation logic to match cleaners with nearby jobs and validate their presence at the designated location via real-time position checks, reducing missed visits.

Payment reliability

The team integrated Stripe with a controlled charge-and-weekly-payout sequence, reducing risk for both drivers and cleaners while giving the admin panel complete oversight of each transaction.

Photo-based job confirmation

DevsData LLC introduced a mandatory photo-upload step after each cleaning session, using Firebase Storage, to provide the client with proof of completion and deter fraudulent activity.

An agile framework shaped the engagement from day one. Sprint planning and review sessions were held jointly between DevsData LLC and the founders, with retrospectives closing each cycle. The verification system was developed iteratively under this cadence. Location logic was refined sprint by sprint as the founders tested each build, and payout mechanics went through the same collaborative loop. Operational clarity stayed anchored to founder input at every stage.

Results and impact

The delivery phase concluded after 12 weeks, followed by a controlled, staged rollout. The first stage released the platform to a limited pool of verified users in a single operating zone.

This contained environment let the team monitor verification flows and payout cycles under real conditions.

Once the metrics held steady, access was opened to the wider user base on mobile and desktop. Handover documentation for the admin panel was provided to the founders during this phase, allowing the operational team to take ownership without disruption.

Early usage data showed steady growth in driver bookings, with cleaner participation rising in line with marketplace momentum. Scheduling worked seamlessly alongside verification checks, while payout handling supported the everyday activity that kept both user groups returning to the platform. The points below outline measurable outcomes observed after launch.

Key outcomes included:

More than 500 driver accounts created within the first release window, with recurring bookings steadily increasing as users developed trust in the service.

Cleaner registrations passing 120 approved profiles after verification checks, which supplied coverage across multiple high-demand zones where driver concentration justified regular availability.

Weekly payout processing rising in volume as more cleaners joined the service, which reduced manual oversight demands on the internal admin team.

Over 1800 completed sessions logged within the first phase, supported by photo submissions that confirmed task completion and created documentation for quality disputes.

Location tracking reducing missed appointments by aligning job acceptance with real-time cleaner proximity, ensuring only nearby cleaners received available work notifications.

DevsData LLC assigned a compact delivery team to Uberclean under a governance model agreed with the founders at kickoff. The Project Manager led planning with the founders and held a standing weekly steering call in which scope and risks were reviewed openly. Day-to-day communication took place in a shared Slack workspace, with written decision logs stored in a client-accessible portal.

The Product Owner worked closely with the founders to translate their vision into user stories that reflected real booking behavior. Mobile and backend engineers built the React Native front end and configured Firebase storage with Stripe payments on Google Cloud. A QA specialist walked through the driver and cleaner paths, then checked the admin area ahead of launch.

These results strengthened operational stability for the startup and supported a wider service footprint without raising administrative burden.

Conclusion

The founders faced a concrete problem: rideshare drivers needed reliable vehicle cleaning to maintain ratings and income, while cleaners wanted structured access to consistent work without coordination gaps. A fragmented experience would have stalled growth by sending users toward refined competitors, so the startup needed technology aligned with actual scheduling patterns rather than assumptions.

Verification had to establish trust without discouraging sign-ups, while location accuracy became critical because the business model would fail if cleaners couldn’t find vehicles. This challenge mattered significantly for a company launching in Silicon Valley’s competitive on-demand market, where reliability shapes both initial adoption and continued usage.

DevsData LLC shaped the delivery approach in collaboration with the founders, starting with a workshop that mapped how two user populations would move through the platform. Identity verification was positioned as the entry point that both groups had to pass.

The founders reviewed wireframes for the driver interface before any code was written. A follow-up session covered the cleaner interface in the same way. Technical choices around React Native were presented to the founders with trade-offs explained openly, and every decision on Firebase or Stripe was recorded in a shared architecture log.

Real-time location tracking minimized fraudulent behavior while increasing accountability across the marketplace. The 12-week delivery concluded with stable applications running on mobile and desktop, establishing the infrastructure for initial market traction, as evidenced by growing registrations from both drivers and cleaners.

This project shows how DevsData LLC works with ventures that scale quickly, where careful execution directly affects users who rely on the platform for income. Engineering oversight kept technical quality high as requirements changed, and clear communication kept developers aligned with founders who knew their market but needed support on the technical side.
