Student-oriented career portal of the future

The job-board platform was acquired by students.pl with a mission to connect employers with young & ambitious candidates looking for student internships.

Project Overview

The idea of the portal

is to give students a perspective on first internships and jobs, underline the importance of first job-related experiences, and how they shape their professional paths, including highlighting particular jobs’ key aspects.
In addition, the platform has a blog with valuable articles, venue also has a space with upcoming events about how to prepare and build your career. Moreover, the platform allows finding suitable job offers for students with the help of filters within a few clicks. It also helps create a professional profile and CV that can attract potential employers.

The challenge

Low acceptance rate for entry-level jobs.

Graduates who are entering the labor market the first time are usually lost. They do not feel confident about their skills or knowledge. They might also not possess the required experience in choosing a proper, suitable and reliable job.
As we looked deeper into students’ reality, many
of them have specified neither what kind of company (start-up or corporation) nor industry (finance, consulting, IT) they are pursuing.
Such a period of young life is usually stressful and might be disappointing when it does not start the way people expect.
Technological challenge is to figure out how to use technology (software and machine learning) in order to make it easier for candidates to find their dream job and for companies to receive highly-vetted candidates.
We found out the solution through research, observations and series of extensive interviews with both students and employers. As a result, we were able to provide exceptional experience and develop a tool more useful than well-known recruitment platforms on the market.

  iResume is a personal development portal where users can apply for jobs that will prepare thoroughly their career profile as well as educate themselves in the planned direction by choosing from a wide range of training and learning materials.

The outcome

Recruitment platform delivering exceptional, tailored experience for entry-level jobs. We have designed and developed a personalized job-board platform with modern design and a smoothly working interface. We also included features that allow young people to search for job offers, build professional candidate profiles, and read educational articles on the blog.

When it comes to benefits involving employers, they can build their brand and quickly access a wide range of candidates. The portal is built on sophisticated front-end and backend systems using React.
We used Python for Machine Learning to adjust offers using given information self-sufficient. Algorithms improve automatically through experience and are considered a part of artificial intelligence.
The website is well optimized with the help of a straightforward and effective machine learning solution.
Established companies like Accenture, 3M, Allegro, Alior Bank, Amazon, and more are in the employers’ catalog on the iResume platform.
