We’re looking for an Application Operations Engineer for a US-based company – the pioneer in multi-cloud data management. It created a multi-cloud, end-to-end data management platform enabling businesses to succeed in a changing world and stimulate innovation.
As an Application Operations Engineer, You will be responsible for the availability of the company’s Data Services. You will be the front line to answer questions from the company’s support and customers. Meanwhile, You will work with other developers on service monitoring, upgrade, backup, and other infrastructure, and services issues.

Requirements

checked icon 7+ years of previous experience in DevOps.
checked icon Good understanding of Unix/Linux systems.
checked icon Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and microservice approach.
checked icon Strong knowledge of network configuration.
checked icon Public cloud experience with AWS.
checked icon Script programming skills such as Bash, Python, and Terraform.
checked icon Experience with metrics/monitoring tools such as Observe, Prometheus, and New Relic.
checked icon Experience with continuous deployment/release management.
checked icon Strong expertise with Aurora / Mysql.
checked icon Good communication skills and ability to work on multitasks.
checked icon Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science, Electronics, and Communication or equivalent
checked icon Ability to work with other engineers across the product in different geographies.
checked icon Ability to learn new technologies quickly with minimum support and guidance.

Nice to have

checked icon MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field
checked icon Experience working in the Data Management or Storage industry

Responsibilities

checked icon Applying professional-level technical skills and judgment to provide non-routine technical support for computer/data center operations.
checked icon Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting server and non-desktop computer hardware, software, systems, and other resources in a data center or other centralized computer network setting.
checked icon Maintaining access control, data integrity, and file system security for the computer/data center environment.
checked icon Monitoring, tracking, and recording system performance and utilization metrics. Communicating highly technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
checked icon Recommending process, hardware, and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades, to improve computer/data center efficiency.
checked icon May participate in the development of information technology and infrastructure projects.
