Typical duties and responsibilities

• Integrate AI solutions with existing systems and workflows while ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of AI models to ensure accuracy, reliability, and ethical compliance.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to align AI initiatives with organizational strategies.
• Build and maintain data infrastructure and pipelines necessary for training and deploying AI models.
• Monitor and optimize AI system performance, implementing improvements and updates as needed.
• Research and implement cutting-edge AI technologies and methodologies to enhance existing solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on AI-related projects and initiatives.

Required skills and experience

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related field with minimum 3 years of hands-on AI development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, R, or Java, with extensive experience using AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and deploying machine learning models, including deep learning architectures and natural language processing systems.
• Comprehensive understanding of mathematical concepts fundamental to AI, including linear algebra, calculus, and statistics.
• Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques essential for production-grade machine learning systems.
• Proven track record of implementing AI solutions that integrate with existing business systems and infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and software development best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• PhD in Machine Learning, AI, or a related field with published research or contributions to the AI community.
• Experience with cloud-based AI platforms (AWS SageMaker, Google AI Platform, Azure ML).
• Expertise in specialized AI domains such as computer vision, robotics, or conversational AI.
• Knowledge of distributed computing and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
• Track record of leading AI initiatives and mentoring junior engineers in AI development practices.
• Knowledge of business intelligence tools (COGNOS, Tableau)
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.
• Experience with enterprise-level system implementations.
