Comprehensive WordPress Website Design and Development for a startup incubator from San Francisco

Project Overview

DevsData has been asked to create a website presenting achievements and mission of CarbonCapture. We implemented the designs in a modern way using a WordPress ecosystem and following best industry practices for front-end web development.

Our main objective was to make the design look spectacular on a live WordPress website. With modern animations: eye-catching transitions, parallax effects and drop shadows, combined with advanced CSS front-end tools and solutions, we managed to achieve high-quality modern style while maintaining solid site performance, scalability and maintainability.

Apart from the designs, we’ve also included all the WordPress development aspects that we’ve implemented in successful front-end projects over the years, especially:

Modern Technology Tools and Frameworks

• We created an easy-to-navigate and user-friendly WordPress (WP) website with the use of Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) in order to make it easy for the customer to update the website content at any moment. ACF field builder allows users to quickly and easily add fields to WP edit screens with only a few clicks on the buttons. Fields can be added all over WP including posts, users, taxonomy terms, media, comments and even custom options pages.
• Moreover, in order to lay and structure the webpage we have used CSS Sass. This is an extension of CSS that enables developers to use things like variables, nested rules, inline imports and more. It also helps to keep things organized and allows to create style sheets in a little time.
• We have also used PHP as it is especially suited for web development and can be embedded into HTML.
• For WordPress hosting we have selected Kinsta, which is a relatively new WP hosting provider that runs their services on cutting-edge technology. Kinsta provides impressive levels of uptime and the ability to handle multiple visitors at the same time. It also gives access to some genuinely worthwhile features, such as automatic website backups, security monitoring and an easy-to-use staging environment.
