Fruitful Yield’s approximate annual revenue is $10-15 million, driven by its growing base of health-conscious customers and its commitment to non-GMO, preservative-free, and ethically sourced products. The stores offer a carefully curated selection of natural foods, supplements, and personal care items – all at prices up to 35% below standard retail.

The company places equal value on customer experience and community impact. Challenge

Fruitful Yield’s existing mobile application faced numerous operational and technological problems that hindered user engagement and overall company effectiveness. The app’s outdated appearance, limited functionality, and technical inefficiencies made a complete overhaul necessary to align with current eCommerce standards and user expectations.

The Fruitful Yield project was a comprehensive initiative to transform the existing mobile application into a modern, customer-centric platform.

Key issues included several performance-related and structural challenges. The aging codebase led to frequent crashes and slow loading times, significantly diminishing the user experience. The interface was visually outdated and challenging to navigate, falling short of modern eCommerce design expectations.

The app also lacked compliance with WCAG 2.2 (AA level), making it inaccessible to users with disabilities. Additionally, functional gaps, such as the absence of geolocation-based notifications and modern form validation, reduced its value as a marketing and engagement tool.

Further complicating the project was the requirement to integrate with the existing Magento eCommerce system, adding complexity to the refactoring process. Technical constraints also played a role- Fruitful Yield requested that the current technology stack (React Native, TypeScript, Expo) be retained, which meant the modernization strategy had to work within those limitations.

DevsData LLC was brought in to lead the full modernization of Fruitful Yield’s mobile application – providing end-to-end services including UX redesign, frontend refactoring, accessibility optimization, and performance engineering. Our team enhanced the React Native architecture, rebuilt key modules for stability, implemented WCAG 2.2–compliant design components, and ensured full Magento synchronization. Goals

The main goal was to modernize Fruitful Yield’s mobile app and make it easy to use while staying true to the brand’s focus on health and wellness.   5. Competitive analysis

    To ensure the new design would meet modern expectations, DevsData LLC reviewed leading eCommerce and retail apps. The goal was to identify the most effective design patterns and engagement features, like geolocation and real-time offers, while preserving Fruitful Yield’s brand identity.
