Typical duties and responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational objectives, including capital structure optimization, investment strategies, and long-term financial planning.
Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
Lead risk management initiatives by analyzing organizational liabilities, investments, and market conditions to protect company assets and ensure sustainable growth.
Direct the preparation and communication of financial statements, board presentations, and strategic financial analyses for stakeholders, including investors, board members, and regulatory bodies.
Manage relationships with external financial partners, including investors, auditors, banking institutions, and insurance providers.
Implement and maintain robust financial controls, compliance frameworks, and reporting systems to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Drive process improvement initiatives across the finance organization to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize resource allocation.
Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and executive team, translating complex financial data into actionable business insights.
Required skills and experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, with a minimum of 15 years of progressive financial management experience, including at least 8 years in senior financial leadership roles.
Demonstrated expertise in corporate financial strategy, including extensive experience with capital markets, investment management, and complex financial modeling in enterprise environments.
Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and regulatory compliance frameworks, with proven experience in implementing and maintaining financial controls and risk management systems.
Proven track record of successfully leading financial planning and analysis teams, with experience managing teams of 20+ finance professionals across multiple departments.
Advanced proficiency in financial management systems and tools, including enterprise ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), advanced Excel modeling, and financial planning software.
Successful history of managing relationships with investors, board members, and external stakeholders, including experience presenting to boards and participating in earnings calls.
Demonstrated ability to drive strategic decision-making through financial analysis and forecasting, with proven success in implementing cost optimization and efficiency initiatives.
Outstanding leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and translate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
