Typical duties and responsibilities

1. Provide technical assistance with cloud infrastructure and services.
2. Monitor and maintain cloud systems to guarantee their availability and performance.
3. Troubleshoot and address issues with cloud infrastructure.
4. Work with the development and operations teams to optimize cloud solutions.
5. Set up and manage cloud security mechanisms.
6. Assist with the deployment and setup of cloud resources.
7. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud systems, including architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
8. Analyze cloud system performance metrics and logs to identify trends, forecast needs, and recommend improvements or upgrades.

Required skills and experience

• At least 2 years of proven experience as a Cloud Support Engineer or in a similar position.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of cloud systems, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) technologies such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration systems such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have/preferred skills and experience (not required)

• Cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, or similar credentials.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
• Advanced network troubleshooting skills in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices and frameworks.
• Experience in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash).
