Typical duties and responsibilities

1. Collect and preprocess large datasets from various sources for analysis.

3. Develop and implement predictive models using machine learning algorithms to solve specific business problems.
4. Design and execute experiments to evaluate the performance of different models and algorithms.
5. Create and maintain data pipelines to ensure continuous data flow and integration.
6. Use advanced statistical techniques to interpret data and provide actionable insights to forecast trends, optimize operations, and identify new business opportunities.
7. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.

9. Communicate findings to stakeholders by visualizing data and modeling results using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib.

Required skills and experience

• 3+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, including expertise with Python frameworks like Pandas and NumPy and machine learning algorithms such as Decision Trees and Random Forests.
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning techniques.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in applying advanced analytics to real-world business problems.

Nice to have/preferred skills and experience (not required)

• Relevant certifications in data science or machine learning (e.g., Certified Data Scientist, AWS Certified Machine Learning).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services.
• Experience in deploying machine learning models into production environments.
• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and their application in real-world scenarios.
