Typical duties and responsibilities

3. Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing ETL processes to ensure efficient and reliable data ingestion.
4. Monitor and maintain data quality and integrity across multiple systems.

6. Identify and investigate data issues, provide resolutions, and communicate with end users.

Required skills and experience

• Proficient in SQL, with strong query optimization and database tuning skills.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Informatica, Talend, etc.).
• Solid understanding of data modeling principles and database architecture.
• Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, particularly in the context of complex data structures.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have/preferred skills and experience (not required)

• Experience with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, etc.).
• Familiarity with cloud-based ETL services (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory).
• Programming or scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, Java, Shell scripting) to support ETL development.
• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with data governance and data quality best practices.
• Relevant certifications in ETL tools or cloud technologies.
