Typical duties and responsibilities

Required skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, plus minimum 2 years of hands-on IT support experience in a corporate environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing and troubleshooting Windows and Mac operating systems, network infrastructure, and common business applications (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
• Strong working knowledge of system security protocols, backup systems, and disaster recovery procedures, with experience in implementing security measures.
• Proven track record of successful project management and implementation of IT initiatives, including system upgrades and new technology rollouts.
• Experience with enterprise-level hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance across diverse platforms.
• Comprehensive understanding of network administration, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and common networking protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions while maintaining system stability.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users effectively.

Nice to have/preferred skills and experience (not required)

• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in IT operations and support roles, including internships and academic projects; experience with industry-specific systems and enterprise applications is considered relevant experience.
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
• Advanced knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (AWS, Azure).
• Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) and automation tools for system administration.
• Project management certifications or demonstrated experience leading large-scale IT implementations.
