Typical duties and responsibilities

1. Collaborate with the development team to design and implement testing procedures that align with product quality standards.
2. Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to thoroughly assess product functionality and performance.
3. Conduct both manual and automated testing to validate product features, performance, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
4. Identify, track, and report software defects, ensuring clear communication with cross-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently.
5. Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to ensure high-quality software delivery to clients.
6. Perform functional, regression, and performance testing to uncover defects not covered by existing test cases.
7. Ensure that all products and services comply with industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and customer expectations.
8. Work closely with development, product management, and customer support teams to ensure seamless product launches and ongoing customer satisfaction.
9. Manage and maintain test environments and test data to ensure testing accuracy.
10. Monitor and report on key quality metrics including test coverage, defect density, and time to resolution.

Required skills and experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role, ideally in a software development environment.
• Experience in both manual and automated testing, with a focus on performance and load testing.
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies, with experience using testing tools such as Selenium, Jira, or Confluence.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, best practices, and industry standards.
• Relevant certifications such as ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) or CSQA (Certified Software Quality Analyst).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly report and document findings.

• Experience with mobile testing frameworks (Appium, XCUITest).
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) .
• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).
• CI/CD pipeline experience (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with test management tools (TestRail, qTest).
• Knowledge of accessibility testing (WCAG guidelines).
