The SharePoint Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s SharePoint environment, ensuring optimal performance, security, and user experience across both on-premises and cloud-based platforms. Typical duties and responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain SharePoint farms, site collections, and service applications while ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Implement and manage security protocols, including user access controls, permissions, and compliance requirements across the SharePoint environment.
• Develop and execute disaster recovery plans, including regular backup procedures and system restoration protocols.
• Monitor system performance, conduct security audits, and implement necessary patches and updates to maintain system integrity.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for system architecture, configurations, and workflows.
• Integrate SharePoint with other Microsoft 365 services such as Teams, OneDrive, and Power Platform tools.
• Provide tier-2/3 technical support and conduct user training sessions to enhance platform adoption.
• Develop and implement custom SharePoint solutions, including workflows, forms, and automated processes

Required skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with minimum 4 years of hands-on SharePoint administration experience in enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in SharePoint architecture, farm administration, and database management, including experience with both on-premises and SharePoint Online environments.
• Advanced proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and management of SharePoint environments, with proven experience in developing custom scripts and solutions.
• Comprehensive experience with Active Directory, SQL Server administration, and Microsoft 365 integration, including hybrid environment management and configuration.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully plan and execute SharePoint migrations, upgrades, and large-scale implementation projects.
• Strong knowledge of SharePoint security best practices, compliance requirements, and governance frameworks, including experience with audit and monitoring tools.
• Expertise in configuring and maintaining SharePoint service applications, including Search, Managed Metadata, and User Profile services.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities combined with strong communication skills for effectively collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Microsoft certifications: SharePoint Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert, or related certifications.
• Advanced expertise in Power Platform tools, including the development of complex Power Automate flows and Power Apps solutions.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines for SharePoint development.
• Knowledge of modern SharePoint development techniques, including SPFx and client-side development.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale SharePoint initiatives and mentoring junior administrators.
