Typical duties and responsibilities

1. Gather and analyze business requirements to define system specifications.
2. Design and document functional and technical system requirements.

4. Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to ensure that solutions are working as expected.
5. Develop and maintain system documentation, including user manuals, technical guides, and process workflows.
6. Provide training and support to end-users to ensure they can effectively use new systems.
7. Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements or upgrades.
8. Ensure that system solutions meet security, performance, and scalability standards.
9. Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure clear communication and alignment.

Required skills and experience

• 3-5 years of experience as a System Analyst or in a related role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This includes identifying root causes, analyzing data trends, and applying logical reasoning to develop innovative approaches.
• Proficiency in using tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, and Enterprise Architect for designing and documenting system requirements.
• Hands-on experience in various testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Proficient in using testing tools like Selenium, JIRA, or TestRail to identify and resolve issues, ensuring the reliability and functionality of system solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively interact with stakeholders, present findings, and facilitate discussions.
• Proven experience in working with diverse teams, including developers, project managers, and business analysts.
• Understanding of database management and software development processes.

Nice to have/preferred skills and experience (not required)

• Certification in Business Analysis or Systems Analysis. Preferred certifications include the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering (CPRE), or the Certified Systems Analyst (CSA).
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or Trello, and Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies.
• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems like SAP, Oracle ERP, or Microsoft Dynamics, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
• Knowledge of programming languages or scripting.
• Experience in data analysis and reporting tools.
