Typical duties and responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports that align with business requirements.
2. Gather and analyze data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
3. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and provide data-driven insights.
4. Optimize Tableau reports for performance and usability.
5. Implement best practices in data visualization and dashboard design.
6. Perform testing and quality assurance to ensure the reliability and accuracy of Tableau solutions.
7. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Tableau reports, dashboards, and processes.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest Tableau features, updates, and industry trends. Propose enhancements to improve reporting and analysis capabilities.

Required skills and experience

• At least 2 years of proven work experience in Tableau development and data visualization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven work experience in data processing, data extraction, data modeling, and data transformation.
• Proficiency in SQL/Python and experience with relational databases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Solid understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling techniques.

Nice to have/preferred skills and experience (not required)

• Experience with data warehousing and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Knowledge of other BI tools and technologies (e.g., Power BI, Qlik).
• Relevant certifications such as Tableau Desktop Specialist or Tableau Desktop Certified Professional.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Understanding of data modeling and database design principles.
