Required skills and experience

• State licensure or certification to practice therapy (e.g., LPC, LCSW), with 2-4+ years of experience in clinical or counseling settings.
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of psychological theories, counseling techniques, and mental health practices.
• Strong listening and communication skills, building trust and rapport with clients.
• High empathy and emotional intelligence to support clients through personal challenges.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries while providing compassionate care to clients.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage caseloads and documentation effectively.
• Commitment to continuous professional development, staying updated on the latest mental health research, practices, and certifications.

Nice to have/preferred skills and experience (not required)

• Specialized expertise in trauma therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), or marriage and family therapy (MFT).
• Bilingual skills to effectively communicate with diverse client populations.
• Training in crisis intervention or trauma-informed care techniques.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems for client documentation and case management.
• Experience in group therapy or working with community-based mental health programs.
