Typical duties and responsibilities

• Identify, document, and track software defects using testing tools.
• Perform manual and automated testing to evaluate product functionality and user experience.

• Perform regression testing and validate fixes and enhancements to ensure stability and reliability across new and existing features.
• Document test processes and results thoroughly, ensuring knowledge transfer and future reference for cross-functional teams.

Required skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in software testing roles.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software testing or quality assurance, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results.
• Proficiency in using industry-standard testing tools such as JIRA, Selenium, or TestRail for managing test cases, tracking defects, and automation.
• Comprehensive understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies, including agile and waterfall approaches.
• Hands-on experience developing and executing automated test cases using frameworks like Selenium WebDriver or similar tools.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify software defects and provide effective recommendations.
• Proven ability to write and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and bug reports, ensuring traceability.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and timely delivery of objectives.

Nice to have/preferred skills and experience

• More than 5 years of professional experience in software testing or quality assurance, with extensive involvement in complex or large-scale projects.
• Advanced expertise in implementing automated testing frameworks, with hands-on experience using tools like Selenium, Appium, or similar technologies for end-to-end automation.
• Proficiency in performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner, with proven success in optimizing system performance and scalability.
• Strong knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, or C#, with the ability to create custom testing solutions and scripts.
• ISTQB Advanced Level certification or equivalent credentials, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
