Typical duties and responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive enterprise architecture blueprints that align with business strategy and technical requirements
• Lead the evaluation and selection of appropriate technologies, platforms, and frameworks for system implementation
• Create detailed documentation of architecture designs, system specifications, and technical standards
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure architecture designs incorporate robust security measures and comply with industry regulations
• Oversee the integration of various systems, applications, and infrastructure components
• Guide and mentor technical teams in implementing architectural solutions and maintaining technical standards
• Conduct regular architecture reviews to identify opportunities for optimization and modernization
• Manage relationships with vendors and technology partners to ensure solution effectiveness

Required skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, plus a minimum of 8 years of experience in enterprise IT architecture or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems, including experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and traditional infrastructure architectures
• Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman) and proven experience applying them in complex organizational environments
• Strong background in multiple programming languages, development platforms, and database technologies, with the ability to evaluate technical solutions across different technology stacks
• Extensive experience with system integration patterns, microservices architecture, and API design, including hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies
• Proven track record of successfully delivering enterprise-wide architecture initiatives that drive business value and technological advancement
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and guide cross-functional teams
• Current knowledge of cybersecurity principles, compliance requirements, and risk management frameworks as they apply to enterprise architecture

Nice to have/preferred skills and experience(not required)

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Enterprise Architecture, or related field
• Professional certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Experience with artificial intelligence, machine learning architectures, and big data technologies
• Track record of successful architecture implementations in regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or government
• Advanced expertise in DevOps practices and implementation of automated CI/CD pipelines
