DevOps Manager plays a key role in the software development team, overseeing software application creation, development, and deployment. Typical duties and responsibilities

1. Design and oversee automated build and deployment processes.
2. Architect and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
3. Integrate applications and automate tasks.
4. Collaborate with development and UI/UX teams to meet requirements.
5. Implement monitoring and optimize system performance.
6. Lead incident response efforts and keep documentation up-to-date.
7. Create plans for DevOps initiatives and assess new technologies.
8. Lead and mentor the DevOps team.
9. Develop budgets and manage costs for DevOps projects.

Required skills and experience

• Proven experience in DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipeline management, cloud platform deployment and infrastructure automation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or similar.
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible or CloudFormation.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of security best practices in DevOps and experience implementing DevSecOps processes.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana or ELK Stack.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage teams and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
• Strong problem-solving abilities for troubleshooting incidents and optimizing system performance.
• Experience in project management and the ability to develop and manage budgets for DevOps initiatives.

Nice to have/preferred skills and experience (not required)

• Knowledge of networking and security protocols.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK Stack).
• Experience with database management and optimization.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.
